The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter. It is the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning. We know accurately only when we know little, with knowledge doubt increases. Jumping to conclusions is efficient if the conclusions are likely to be correct and the costs of an occasional mistake acceptable, and if the jump saves much time and effort.
