The choices you make in life, make you. When you choose anything, you reject everything else. He that has a choice has trouble. Happiness is a choice that requires effort at times. Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends we choose. Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most. The reality is, saying yes to any opportunity by definition requires saying no to several others. Easy choices lead to a hard life. Hard choices, lead to an easy life.
