If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all. I kept always two books in my pocket, one to read, one to write in. You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me. Books serve to show a man that those original thoughts of his aren't very new after all. Books are for people who wish they were somewhere else. People can lose their lives in libraries. They ought to be warned. There are books of which the backs and covers are by far the best parts. A room without books is like a body without a soul. If you want a new idea, read an old book.
