If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair. I didn't go to religion to make me happy. I always knew a bottle of Port would do that. If you want a religion to make you feel really comfortable, I certainly don't recommend Christianity. Now, God be praised, that to believing souls gives light in darkness, comfort in despair. I always felt that the great high privilege, relief and comfort of friendship was that one had to explain nothing. Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness. Home is where you feel at home and are treated well. A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for. Step out of your comfort zone and face your fears. Growth takes place when you are challenged, not when you are comfortable.
