The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. Men in no way approach so nearly to the gods as in doing good to men. Happiness cannot come from without, it must come from within. It is not what we see and touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy; it is that which we think and feel and do, first for the other fellow and then for ourselves. Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves. Live simply, that others may simply live. You have to start giving first and expect absolutely nothing. Do not wait for extraordinary circumstances to do good action; try to use ordinary situations. Unless a life is lived for others, it is not worthwhile. Only a life lived for others is worth living. Giving love to others and not expecting it back is also a form of self-love.
