The man who regards his own life and that of his fellow creatures as meaningless is not merely unfortunate but almost disqualified for life. Environment is the invisible hand that shapes human behavior. For there is but one problem - the problem of human relations. We forget that there is no hope or joy except in human relations. Man will become better when you show him what he is like. Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. Most human beings have an almost infinite capacity for taking things for granted. If there is no intelligence in the universe, then the universe has created something greater than itself - for it has created you and me. To err is human; to forgive, divine. Man can do what he wills, but he cannot will what he wills. To be a human being means to feel oneself inferior.
